Monday, 15TH                             

50TH Annual Utah Shakespeare Festival Held in Cedar City and featuring the 2:00pm performance of ‘Noises Off!’ and the 8:00pm performances of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ & ‘The Glass Menagerie’. The Festival also offers a FREE nightly Greenshow at 7pm, backstage tours, seminars, and play orientations. SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9pm to 11pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. For more information and time call 435-586-1409.

Toadz Talent Showcase, held from 9pm to 1am at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City) $4 cover charge. All performers are welcome, hosted by Pablo “Of the Mountain” Schwartz. For more info call 435-867-8988.

 

Tuesday, 16TH                                              

Curtain Call Lunch held at 11:45 am at the SUU Alumni House (300 W University Blvd, Cedar City). Have lunch as you listen to actors from USF plays as they discuss what goes into creating a production. You will have the opportunity to pose questions. Advance tickets are $15 at USF box office – any remaining tickets available at the door are $17.50. For information call Ted Porray 435-477-1454.

Cedar Breaks National Monument Celebrates “Stories of the Past” focusing on the Civilian Conservation Corps with self guided tours of the CCC sites as well as Ranger lead hikes, special guests and programs highlighting the monuments history, scenery, natural resources & wildlife. 19th annual New American Playwright Project takes the stage at the Utah Shakespeare Festival with staged readings in the Auditorium Theatre (300 W University Blvd, Cedar City) at 10:00am. Featuring ‘The Galt Regency.’

Friday Music Memories held 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Emerald Pointe (995 S Regency Rd, Cedar City) FREE program for music lovers with a variety of musicians from Iron County. Saturday, 20TH
