Cedar City Library Anniversary party held in the Cedar City Library in the Park (303 N 100 E, Cedar City), admission is Free. There will be events going on all afternoon, a birthday cake and special remarks at 6:00 pm, and a local author Jim Robinson will be there at 7:00 pm. For information call 435-586-6661.

Kate Greenstreet & Stephen Tuttle Reading held 7:00 pm in the Whiting Room, Hunter Conference Center (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City). A Reception and book signing at Artisans Gallery will follow the reading (150 W University Blvd, Cedar City).

The Orchestra of Southern Utah 17th Annual Fall Recital Series presents "Musical Stories" held 7:30 pm at St Jude’s Episcopal Church (70 N 200 W, Cedar City), admission is a suggested donation of $5 adults and $3 students. Highlights include “Always on My Mind,” “Nowhere Man,’ “Texas Old-Time Fiddle Style” and the César Franck’s romantic violin sonata finale. Downtown Farmer’s Market will be held every Wednesday evening from 4:00-7:00pm starting July 31, 2013 and ending October 16, 2013 for a total of 12 weeks. The market will be held in the parking area behind Bulloch Drug (corner of 100 W & Hoover Ave, Cedar City). 52nd Annual Utah Shakespeare Festival held in Cedar City, Tuesday – Saturday, and offers matinee performances at 2:00pm and evening performances at 7:30pm in two grand theaters. The Festival also offers backstage tours, seminars, and play orientations. Plays featured this season in repertory are: ‘Peter and the Starcatchers,’ ‘The Marvelous Wonderettes,’ & ‘Richard II’. Fall Fine Arts & Jewelry Festival held Friday noon – 7:00 pm & Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm in the Main Street Park (200 W Main St, Cedar City), FREE. Saturday, 21st

Three Peaks Duathlon starting 8:00 am at Three Peaks Recreation Area (7000 W Midvalley Rd, Cedar City), 5k trail run, 12k mountain bike, 5k trail run. The Cedar City Volunteer Fireman’s Relief Association introduces the Three Peaks Dirty Du – a Mountain Bike/trail Run race held in and around the Three Peaks Recreation Area in Iron County, Utah. Athletes must compete all three legs to finish. There is no pavement in this race, so come and compete in one of the most challenging and exciting sprint duathlons ever. This is an area dominated by high desert beauty and rocky ruggedness. For information call 435-865-5108.

36th Annual Southern Utah University Pow-Wow held on the SUU football practice field (west of the stadium), this is FREE event and open to the public. Grand Entry will be 11:00 am and 6:00 pm.
