Monday, 21ST                 

2010 Kids Summer Movie Program featuring ‘Ice Age – Dawn of the Dinosaurs 3D’ at 10am at Fiddler 6 Theater (170 E Fiddler Canyon Rd, Cedar City) admission is $3 at the door or $20 punch card good for 10 movies.

4-H Horse Show held at 5:30pm at the Cross Hollows Event Center (11 N Cross Hollows Rd, 1 mile west of Cedar City). FREE. For more information call Angela at 435-586-8132.

SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 6:30pm to 8:30pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. Toadz Talent Showcase, held from 9pm to 1am at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City) $4 cover charge. All performers are welcome, hosted by Pablo “Of the Mountain” Schwartz. For more info call 435-867-8988.

 

Tuesday, 22ND

Wednesday, 23RD

8th Annual Groovefest American Music Festival a four-day music festival dedicated to American Roots music. Today’s Entertainment Schedule includes —Campfire Concert in the Canyon at 8pm featuring John Sotter & Tyler Braun Percussion Group. FREE. Today’s Entertainment Schedule includes — At The Grind ($5 ticket) 7:30pm Molly Venter (Austin, TX) and 8:30pm Karling Abbeygate (Los Angeles, CA) also — Kick-Off After Hours at Mike’s Tavern featuring at 10pm to 1am Erik The Red. 10th Annual Cedar City Arts Festival held from 11am to 7pm in the Cedar City Main Street Park (200 N Main Street, Cedar City). Festival features over 40 local Fin Arts and Craft Vendors, Children’s Activities, Music and Food. Admission is Free to the public. Music Memories 2pm to 4pm at Emerald Pointe (995 S Regency Rd, Cedar City) FREE program for music lovers with a variety of musicians from Iron County that will take you back to the golden age of music. Come sing along, dance and have fun with other adults from Cedar City and our residents at Emerald Pointe Assisted Living and Care Community. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are served. Saturday, 26TH                                                 

Northwestern Mutual and Premier Pediatrics 5K & 10K Fun Run/Walk Start time is 8am at the Little League Baseball Fields behind the Main Street Park. ENTRY FEE is $20 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K, and includes a race T-Shirt, post-race fruit and goodies, and prize giveaways. You can register by calling 435-867-8100 or 435-867-4275.
Proceeds benefit the Children’s Justice Center of Iron County. PRIZE DRAWING for fabulous prizes will take place directly after the awards ceremony. Our grand prize this year is a iPod Touch
