Monday, 11TH                             

Annual Utah Shakespeare Festival Held in Cedar City and featuring the 2:00pm performance of ‘The Music Man’ and the 8:00pm performance of ‘Richard III’ & ‘Noises Off!‘. The Festival also offers a FREE nightly Greenshow at 7pm, backstage tours, seminars, and play orientations. SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9:00pm to 11:00pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. Hands on History – Communication come learn all about Pioneer Life every Wednesday for ages 8 to 12yrs from 10:30am – 11:30am at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum (635 N. Cedar Breaks “Star Party” conducted by park staff and astronomy volunteers begin at 9:30pm at Point Supreme (Cedar Breaks National Monument, 23 miles East of Cedar City, via Hwy 14 and 148.) The park will have several large telescopes available until 11:00pm, visitors are also welcome to bring their own telescopes. Remember to dress warmly for the cool night air. Monday, July 4th
Cedar City: Parade starts at 9:30am at the Cedar Stake House
(155 E 400 S) and travels north on Main Street to the Main
Street Park (200 N Main St) where there will be vendor booths
and activities until about 2 pm. The fireworks display will begin
at dark (approx 10pm) from the Cedar Airport. Best viewing
places are Airport Road, Canyon View Middle School and
Bicentennial Park.
Enoch City: Freedom Run (5-K, 10-K or Family Walk) at 7 am
at Old Enoch Park. Potluck lunch at 1 p.m. at Enoch LDS Chapel.
Hot dogs and entertainment at 6 pm at Old Enoch Park. Fireworks
at Dusk. For information call 435-586-1119.
Parowan: “Happy Birthday USA”: Parade held at 10am down
Parowan Main Street, 3 on 3 basketball tourney, food and
games at Library Park after the parade and Fireworks at dusk.

Brian Head: Fireman’s Breakfast from 7 to 10:30 am at Giant
Steps Lodge $7 adults and $5 for kids. Games Contests and
Bouncy Houses (FREE) at Brian Head Giant Steps Lodge from 11
am to 7 p.m. Red, White & Blues Concert begins at 4pm at
Brian Head Resort Giant Steps Lodge. Bonfire & Smores 8pm
to 10pm held at the Giant Steps Lodge followed by a spectacular
