2010 Kids Summer Movie Program featuring ‘The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson)’ at 10am at Fiddler 6 Theater (170 E Fiddler Canyon Rd, Cedar City) admission is $3 at the door or $20 punch card good for 10 movies.

Utah Shakespearean Festival, come enjoy the Tony Award-Winning Comedies, Dramas, and Musicals Live on Stage. Today will be featuring 11am Props Seminar, 1pm Play Orientation, 2pm ‘(Alfred Hitchcock’s) The 39 Steps,’ 6:45pm Play Orientation, 7pm Greenshow and 8pm ‘Merchant of Venice’ and ‘Pride and Prejudice;’ held on the Southern Utah University Campus (351 W University Blvd Cedar City). SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9pm to 11pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. For more information and time call 435-586-1409.

Jane Austin Week: Brunch with the Bennets at 11 a.m. at the Garden House of Cedar City (164 S 100 West). Meet members of the Pride and Prejudice cast and learn exclusive behind-the-scenes details about the summer production. The brunches will be held on July 15 and 22, and August 6 and 19. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Curtain Call Lunch held at 11:45 am at the SUU Alumni House (300 W University Blvd, Cedar City). Have lunch as you listen to actors from USF plays as they discuss what goes into creating a production. You will have the opportunity to pose questions. Advance tickets are $15 at USF box office – any remaining tickets available at the door are $17.50.
