Monday, 3RD ‘LABOR DAY’  

Labor Day Breakfast held 7:30am-9:45pm (90 S Main, Parowan) provided by the Lions Club, followed by the Iron County Fair Parade. For information on the breakfast call Phyllis 435-477-8825.

Festival of Homes Iron County Home Builders Association; tour newly constructed homes built with the newest, innovative processes and materials available. For information call the ICHB at 435-865-1113 or www.ichba.org.

Iron County Fair – “140 Years of Fun” held at the Iron County Fair Grounds (Parowan) *Some events, times & prices are subject to change. Today’s Events Include: 5K Fun Run: South Pole of Fair Grounds, 8:00am. Walk & Run 8:30am, Bike Run: Valentine Peak Complex, 8:00am, Car Show: Parowan Lions Park, 10:00am to 2:00pm. Free registration breakfast 7:00am to 9:00am, Parade: Parowan Main Street, 10:00am THEME: 140 YEARS OF FUN, Horseshoe tournament: 10:00am association members and Noon—amateur, Petting Zoo & Sawdust Dig: Noon to 6:00pm, Entertainment Tent: Noon to 8:00pm, Tractor Show: Parowan Lion’s Park, noon to 3:00pm, Carnival: 10:00am to 10:00pm, Concessions: 10:00am to 8:00pm, Exhibits: Noon to 5:00pm, Contest Tent: Open 1:00pm, Iron County’s Got Talent Finals: 2:30pm, UHRA TB & QH Horse races: Post Time 1:00pm ($6 adults, $3 children), and Bull Wars: Grandstand, 7:00pm ($6 Adults, $3 Children). 4TH Annual Red Rock Relay, a 180 mile endurance race from Brian Head to St. George. For information visit www.redrockrelay.com.

11th Annual Great American Stampede held 7:00pm professional rodeo action in the Iron Rangers Arena at the Cross Hollows Events Center (11 N Cross Hollow Rd, Cedar City), also a dance after the rodeo. Ashcroft Observatory Lecture & Lab Fundraiser: Constellation Lab held 9:00pm at the Ashcroft Observatory (on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive – Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive), Learn how to locate deep sky objects using the constellations.
