Monday, 9TH                                   

SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9:00pm to 11:00pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. Toadz Talent Showcase, held from 9:00pm to 1:00am at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City) $4 cover charge. All performers are welcome, hosted by Pablo “Of the Mountain” Schwartz. For more info call 435-867-8988.

 

Tuesday, 10TH                                                

Children’s Story Time held 12:30pm – 1:00pm at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum (635 N. Main St, Cedar City), FREE. For information call 435-586-9290.

Cedar High School Advanced Drama Students One Act Plays held 7:30pm in the Cedar High School auditorium (703 W 600 S, Cedar City), admission is $3. For information call 435-586-2820.

Wednesday, 11TH                                                                                       

Cedar Square Dancing Classes begin at 7:00pm in the Senior Center (489 E 200 South, Cedar City).  The first class is free, cost after is $7 a couple or $3.50 a person. For more information please call Pat and Hazel Matthews 435-867-9210 or 435-531-6811.

CCMA: The American Piano Quartet held 7:30pm in the Heritage Center (105 N 100 E, Cedar City) admission is $30 for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased at the Heritage Center Box Office 435-865-2882.

Open Mic night, (unless something else coincides) at 8:00pm at Groovacious (173 N 100 W, Cedar City) and is FREE to attend. Open to all musicians, poets, actors or egomaniacs, anyone who wants to perform in front of a live audience and improve their stage skills. For more info call 435-867-9800.

 

Thursday, 12TH                                                                                    

Art and Design Curriculum Show held Tuesday-Saturday Noon to 7pm in the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery on the first floor of the Braithwaite Liberal Arts Center on the east end of the SUU campus. A look at the creative process as developed through the classroom and studio. Admission is FREE, for more information call 435-586-5432.

61st annual Cedar City Area Chamber Awards & Installation Banquet held 7:00pm in the Gilbert Great Hall (Hunter Haze Conference Center, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City). For tickets or information call 435-586-4484.

 

Friday, 13TH                   

Parowan Birthday Celebration with song and dance by school children held 9:00am in the Parowan High School with FREE luncheon in the auxiliary gym for the town at 11:00am followed by a Town Meeting with featured speaker Fred Adams in the auditorium. Saturday, 14TH  

Fall & Winter Farmers Market held indoor at 509 N 200 W, Cedar City held 9:00am to 12:00pm. Fresh locally grown vegetables and fruits, Artisan cheeses, bread, jams & jellies, fresh eggs and hot food vendors. Vendors welcome, (Must have licenses if required). Cedar Breaks Ranger-Led Snowshoe Walk.  Meet at the Cedar City Main Street Park pavilion 9:00am on in Brian Head at 10:00am (meeting location will vary in Brian Head).
