Monday, 18TH                           

National Park Week (Fee FREE) April 16 – 24th enjoy the beauty of our National Parks for FREE. Entrance fees will be waived for Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and Kolob Canyons. *Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.

Parowan Community Theater: “Into the Woods” held 7:00pm in the Aladdin Theater (37 N Main St, Parowan), tickets are $6 adults and $4 children (Monday is Family night, one child FREE with one adult ticket). For information and tickets call the Parowan Visitor Center 435-477-9022 or 435-477-8190.

SUU Theatre Arts & Dance: “Godspell” held at 7:30pm in the Auditorium Theatre (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City). Admission is $10 adults and $5 youth. For information call 435-586-7700.

SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9pm to 11pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. For more information and time call 435-586-1409.

Toadz Talent Showcase, held from 9pm to 1am at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City) $4 cover charge. All performers are welcome, hosted by Pablo “Of the Mountain” Schwartz. For more info call 435-867-8988.

 

Tuesday, 19TH

2nd Annual Community Family Passover Seder held 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the Community Presbyterian Church (2279 N Wedgewood Ln, Cedar City) tickets are $15 for adults, $10 students, $5 children. Wednesday, 20TH

Easter Special and Events held 11:00am to 8:00pm at the new Cedar City Aquatic Center (2090 W Royal Hunte Dr, Cedar City) and will feature: Race the Rubber Duck in the Lazy River, Easter Treasure Box and more. Also get 10% off all memberships Wednesday, April 20th, to Saturday, April 23rd. For information call 435-865-9223.

Music Masterworks Series: Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band held 7:30pm in the Heritage Center Theater (105 N 100 E, Cedar City) admission is $8 adults and $4 youth. For information call 435-586-7890.

Open Mic night, (unless something else coincides) at 8pm at Groovacious (173 N 100 W, Cedar City) and is FREE to attend. Open to all musicians, poets, actors or egomaniacs, anyone who wants to perform in front of a live audience and improve their stage skills. For more info call 435-867-9800.

OES Presentation: Nature’s Dance: Poetry in Motion, presented by Paul C Ocampo, SUU Asst. Professor of Dance and Danielle Dubrasky, SUU Assoc. Professor of Creative Writing, held at 11:30am in the SUU Outdoor Center, admission is FREE. A joint Dance Concert presented by SUU Dance and English Department. Art Insight held at 7:00pm at SUU Campus (351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) and features presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights and attend gallery openings. Friday Music Memories held 2pm to 4pm at Emerald Pointe (995 S Regency Rd, Cedar City) FREE program for music lovers with a variety of musicians from Iron County. Come sing along, dance and have fun. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are served. For more information call Flora 435-867-0055.

Easter Egg Hunt. The hunt begins at 9:30am in Cedar City so arrive early. Meet the Easter Bunny and take part in the Easter Egg Hunt with over 15,000 eggs to be found. Held at the Cedar City Main Street Park (corner of 200 N & Main St) 435-862-9190. Brian Head Resort Closing Day for the winter season. Come enjoy one final day of fabulous spring skiing and be sure to come back mid June for the summer season and November for the 2011-2012 winter season.
