Monday, 4TH                           

Woodwind and Brass Ensembles Concert held at 7:30pm in the Thorley Recital Hall (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) admission is FREE. For information call 435-586-7890.

SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 9pm to 11pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. For more information and time call 435-586-1409.

Toadz Talent Showcase, held from 9pm to 1am at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City) $4 cover charge. All performers are welcome, hosted by Pablo “Of the Mountain” Schwartz. For more info call 435-867-8988.

 

Tuesday, 5TH

Wednesday, 6TH                                                                                

An evening of culinary enlightenment featuring Art, Food, Music, & Wine beginning at 7pm in the Hunter Conference Center (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City). Check-in on 1st floor from 6:30pm – 7:00pm, socializing & hors d’oeuvres 2nd floor 7:00pm, and wine presentation in the Red Hill room (2nd floor) 7:30pm. Live musical entertainment will be in the Great Hall provided by the truly enlightened gypsy-folk artists ‘Taarka’ with a special string performance by SUU Music Students. Also an Art Sale & Exhibits will be presented by The Rouge Gallery, local artists & students. Tickets are only $30 or a table for (8) $210, purchase and print ticket online at http://www.artmusicwine.eventbrite.com. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Cedar City Downtown Retail Alliance.

Cedar Square Dancing Classes begin at 7pm in the Senior Center (489 E 200 South, Cedar City).  The first class is free, cost after is $7 a couple or $3.50 a person. For more information please call Pat and Hazel Matthews 435-867-9210 or 435-531-6811.

Open Mic night, (unless something else coincides) at 8pm at Groovacious (173 N 100 W, Cedar City) and is FREE to attend. Open to all musicians, poets, actors or egomaniacs, anyone who wants to perform in front of a live audience and improve their stage skills. For more info call 435-867-9800.

Art Insight held at 7:00pm in the Sterling Church Auditorium, Sharwin Smith Center (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) featuring Preston Trombly, Best known to classical music devotees as a SiriusXM Satellite Radio host but also equally renowned as an artist whose medium is found objects/mixed media assemblages. Friday Music Memories held 2pm to 4pm at Emerald Pointe (995 S Regency Rd, Cedar City) FREE program for music lovers with a variety of musicians from Iron County. Come sing along, dance and have fun. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are served. For more information call Flora 435-867-0055.

Comedian Brian Regan live in the Centrum Arena (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) at 7:30pm.
