Monday, 22ND              

SUU’s Ashcroft Observatory, free star-gazing, located on the hilltop just south of the SUU Farm on Westview Drive (Hwy 56 W to Westview Drive).  Open 6:30pm to 8:30pm, interested parties should plan on arriving at the observatory just as the sun sets. Tuesday, 23RD                                  

Radio Day held at Brian Head Resort with Star 98.1. Come out and see the Star 98.1 Vehicle. They will give you a coupon that allows you a 50% savings on a full day Lift Ticket. For information call 435-677-2035.

Tournées Film Festival held at 7pm in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Theater (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) premiering Comme un Juif en France, part II (Being Jewish in France). This documentary explores the complex history of the Jews in France – the first country to grant Jews citizenship. Admission is FREE and open to the public.

 

Wednesday, 24TH                                                                          

Cedar Square Dancing Classes begin at 7pm in the Senior Center (489 E 200 South, Cedar City).  The first class is free, cost after is $7 a couple or $3.50 a person. For more information please call Pat and Hazel Matthews 435-867-9210 or 435-531-6811.

Open Mic night, at 8pm at Groovacious (173 N 100 W, Cedar City) and is FREE to attend. Open to all musicians, poets, actors or egomaniacs, anyone who wants to perform in front of a live audience and improve their stage skills. For more info call 435-867-9800.

Thursday, 25TH                                                                            

Outdoor Education Series: Connecting with the Past: Community Archaeology in Kanab, UT held 11:30am -12:30pm in the SUU Outdoor Center (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) featuring speakers: Barb Frank, Director, SUU Archaeological Repository and Emily Dean, SUU Asst. Professor of Anthropology. Bring your brown bag lunch and relax and enjoy discussions and hands-on activities to help you learn more about the great outdoors and all it has to offer. Admission is FREE and everyone is invited.

Art Insight held at 7pm in the Hunter Conference Center Great Hall, (SUU Campus, 351 W University Blvd, Cedar City) and featuring Photographer Olivia Gude. Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend. For more information call 435-865-8800 or visit www.suu.edu/arts.

OSU Winter Concert: Bravo Opera! held at 7:30pm in the Heritage Theater (105 N 100 E, Cedar City) admission Adults $10, Students $5, Groups of six $30. Friday, 26TH        

SUU Student Recital held at 2pm in the Thorley Recital Hall (351 W University Blvd, Cedar City). Admission is FREE. For more information call Donna McIntyre (435)586-7746

Music Memories 2pm to 4pm at Emerald Pointe (995 S Regency Rd, Cedar City) FREE program for music lovers with a variety of musicians from Iron County that will take you back to the golden age of music. Come sing along, dance and have fun with other adults from Cedar City and our residents at Emerald Pointe Assisted Living and Care Community. Everyone is welcome and refreshments are served. Spring Building Products Fair & Home Show come see new building products and accessories from 3pm to 8pm at the Heritage Center (105 N 100 East, Cedar City). Improv Comedy Show “Off the Cuff” presents at the Crystal Inn (1575 W 200 N, Cedar City). Beginning at 9pm, admission is $5. Saturday, 27TH                                             

United States Marine Corps (USMC) On Snow Fun Competition 2, come on out and have fun again with the Marines. The USMC is going to have the Red Hot H3, booming music & showing "Extreme Snowsports" on DVD. Compete against your buddies on the USMC pull-up bar, or cruise through the obstacle course and the Brian Head NASTAR Race Course….. Enjoy the music, friendly competition, On-snow BBQ and the great Utah snow. For more information call 435-677-2035.
